As Trump Campaigns in New Hampshire, Ad in Union Leader Reminds Residents He Slammed State as “Drug-Infested Den”

With Donald Trump campaigning in Manchester this evening, Bridge Project is welcoming the president with a print ad in today’s edition of New Hampshire’s most widely circulated paper, the New Hampshire Union Leader, reminding residents that the president brazenly mocked the state – calling it “a drug-infested den.”

The print ad also directs readers to Bridge’s digital media site, American Ledger, which currently features an article detailing how the president has outright failed to take meaningful action to address the opioid crisis in New Hampshire.

Trump made the offensive remark in a January 2017 call with the President of Mexico claiming, “I won New Hampshire because New Hampshire is a drug-infested den.” Trump notably did not win New Hampshire in the 2016 election. His comments were widely rebuked across the state when they came to light in August 2017, after the Washington Post published a transcript of Trump’s call with the President of Mexico.

VIDEO: Trump’s Skyrocketing $110,300,000 Taxpayer-Funded Golf Tab

With Donald Trump set to return to Bedminster later today for yet another extended taxpayer-funded golf getaway, Bridge Project released a new video highlighting the more than $110 million Trump has cost taxpayers after just two and half years in office.

After repeated promises during the 2016 election that he wouldn’t “have time to go play golf” as president and would be “all the time working,” Trump has managed to take a record-breaking 202 golf outings since taking office. The president’s skyrocketing nine-figure golf bill includes more than $1.1 million in Secret Service costs and over half a million wasted on golf carts.

“Donald Trump is easily the laziest president ever,” said American Bridge spokesperson Jeb Fain. “His broken promises to work hard might be funny if he wasn’t leaving taxpayers with a $110 million dollar, and counting, bill just so he can bum around his golf courses.”

Bridge Project Launches Campaign Spotlighting Trump’s Threat to Health Care

Campaign Begins With Digital Ads in FL, MI, PA, & WI

With health care under the continued, imminent threat of repeal by Donald Trump, Bridge Project is launching a new campaign to spotlight the dire impact Trump’s lawsuit to repeal the Affordable Care Act would have on families across the country. The fate of health care is currently in the hands of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. The Fifth Circuit, which heard arguments in Trump’s lawsuit to repeal ACA earlier this month, is expected to hand down a decision in the coming weeks, and has been called “one of the most conservative appeals courts in the nation.”

If successful, Trump’s repeal lawsuit could totally invalidate the Affordable Care Act which would endanger the coverage of more than 20 million Americans, gut protections for pre-existing conditions, and force seniors to pay higher […]

Mueller Hearings A Seminal Moment for Trump Admin, Country

Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s scheduled testimony before the House Judiciary and House Intelligence Committees represents yet another seminal moment in this administration’s history and also our country’s. What the country is readying to witness is unprecedented, and for an administration that seemingly produces a new crisis every 12 hours, the only consistent source of controversy since Trump’s inauguration has been the ongoing scandal surrounding Russian interference in the 2016 election.

While it remains highly unlikely that the investigation will have an outsized electoral impact in 2020, the reality is this: every moment Americans are consuming information about the president’s corruption, his ties to a hostile foreign entity that tampered with the 2016 election, and crimes committed by members of his inner circle is a net positive for progressives. Failing to amplify these controversies would be malpractice.

With that focus in mind, Bridge Project is doing its part. In advance of tomorrow’s […]
