Hard to Hear Senator Toomey’s Excuses Over Voters’ Chants of #DoYourJob

Sen. Pat Toomey is one of the most outspoken opponents to replacing Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. He says he sees no point in meeting with any nominee, “…This is not about the qualifications of an individual,” he said. However, with the outpour of letters to the editors, newspaper editorials, and a recent poll of likely voters calling for Sen. Toomey to rethink his position, Pennsylvania voters want their senator to do his job.

“Sen. Toomey isn’t even on the Senate Judiciary Committee, but he’s toeing the Republican Party line and ignoring his voters in an election year,” said Eddie Vale, the Vice President of American Bridge 21st Century. “‘Let the people’s voice be heard’ would be a lot more convincing if the people weren’t overwhelmingly shouting ‘Do Your Job, Sen. Toomey.’”
