Bridge Project Launches New Ad Against Cassidy-Graham-Heller-Johnson Bill In Key States

To help bring transparency and accountability to Republicans’ latest dark-of-night attack against the American healthcare system, Bridge Project is releasing a new digital ad blitz targeting 6 Republican Senators, highlighting the excruciating impacts the Cassidy-Graham-Heller-Johnson legislation would have for average Americans and urging these Senators to vote against the bill.

With the backing of Donald Trump, Republicans in the Senate are rushing a bill that was written in secret by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Dean Heller (R-NV), and Ron Johnson (R-WI) to the floor for a vote  before the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office can even determine what its full impact on American families would be. They are doing this because, as independent studies of the bill’s substance confirm, it would be a nonstarter with the American people. Polling shows all of the last Trumpcare attempts decisively rejected by the public – and Republicans want to keep […]

THE KEY QUESTION FOR SENATE REPUBLICANS ABOUT CASSIDY-GRAHAM-HELLER

“How will you justify supporting this attack on Americans’ healthcare when you meet your constituents again?”

Republicans are yet again trying to force a Trumpcare bill down the American peoples’ throats that would increase health costs, gut the Affordable Care Act’s protections for people suffering from preexisting conditions, and end Medicaid as we know it.

The GOP is moving forward with this disastrous bill despite the fact that the largest patient advocacy organizations in the United States – including the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, and the American College of Physicians – have called on Senators to stand against Cassidy-Graham-Heller-Johnson.  So has the American College of Physicians, the Children’s Hospital Association, and the American Association of Retired Persons.

In response to the warnings from these various groups, American Bridge President Jessica Mackler posed the following question to every Republican senator considering this legislation:

“The top nonpartisan patent advocates in the country have warned – in the strongest terms – that this […]

American Bridge Statement & New Ad on Dean Heller’s Never-Ending ACA Repeal Fight

“Today, Dean Heller yet again broke his promise to protect Nevadans’ health care by pushing his disastrous plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act  — all to score partisan points. By signing his name to this latest legislation — which independent studies say would end Medicaid expansion, kick over 200,000 Nevadans off their health care and raise costs for millions more — Dean Heller is sealing his political fate. Count on Nevadans to hold Heller accountable at the ballot box next November for fighting to undermine their health care,” said American Bridge President Jessica Mackler.

Bridge Project Releases Warning Against Latest GOP Attempt to Gut Healthcare

Ad Targets Most Vulnerable Senator Dean Heller

Even though Americans want their leaders focused on job creation, Senate Republicans – including Dean Heller from Nevada – just can’t stop trying to take health care away from millions. A new Trumpcare plan, known as Graham-Cassidy-Heller, would subject countless families to the same devastating consequences of the last 5 failed plans.

To hold Dean Heller accountable for yet again breaking his promise to protect Nevadans’ healthcare, Bridge Project is out with a new digital ad highlighting the pain that the latest bill would inflict. The ad will serve as a model that can be implemented against other Republicans who support the Graham-Cassidy-Heller plan.

“Instead of focusing on the American people’s first priority – creating good-paying, middle class jobs – Donald Trump and Senate Republicans like Dean Heller are pushing yet another Trumpcare bill that would gut the American healthcare system,” said American Bridge President Jessica Mackler. “Americans […]

VIDEO: Nevada TV Slams Dean Heller on Healthcare

Bridge Project today released a new video highlighting the role Dean Heller played in yesterday’s 50-50 vote. Local Nevada stations did not hold back in their criticism of Heller.

“With his vote to open debate yesterday and his commitment today to support a repeal bill, Dean Heller has proven he is willing to put partisan politics ahead of the health of his constituents,” said American Bridge spokesperson Joshua Karp. “Despite his previous statements about how damaging Trumpcare would be to hard working Nevadans, Heller sided with Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell over Nevadans.”

Bridge Project to Re-Air Russia Investigation Ads Against Heller and Flake

Following Donald Trump’s reckless firing of FBI Director James Comey, putting the FBI’s investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia in jeopardy, American Bridge is re-airing its ads against Sen. Dean Heller and Sen. Jeff Flake.

The 15-second digital ads condemn Heller and Flake’s refusal to call for a independent commission to investigate Trump and his associates’ ties to Russia. The ads will air on YouTube and other social media over the next week.

Statement by American Bridge President Jessica Mackler:

“What exactly are Dean Heller and Jeff Flake waiting for? It is long past time for Senator Heller and Senator Flake to support an independent commission to investigate Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.

“This unprecedented interference by Trump into the FBI’s Russia investigation makes the need for a truly independent investigation even clearer. Republicans like Dean Heller and Jeff Flake who stay silent now are guilty of moral […]

New Bridge Project Web Ads Target Jeff Flake and Dean Heller on Internet Privacy

Today American Bridge 21st Century announced new web ads holding Sen. Jeff Flake and Sen. Dean Heller accountable for voting to gut FCC privacy rules, putting consumers’ most private information at risk.

The web ads will run this week in Arizona and Nevada, heading into the Senate’s two-week recess.

“Senator Jeff Flake led the charge to overturn FCC rules that kept consumer’s most private information safe,” said American Bridge spokesman Joshua Karp. “Because of Jeff Flake and Dean Heller, who have funded their campaigns with hundreds of thousands of dollars from the telecom industry, are giving their campaign donors permission to sell Americans’ internet history, from financial materials to health information, to the highest bidder. And not only is your online privacy for sale to big corporations — but so is the Republican Senate.”

HellerOnTheRun.com: Dean Heller Hasn’t Held a Public Meeting With His Constituents in Months

Today, American Bridge 21st Century launched a new website, HellerOnTheRun.com, holding Dean Heller accountable for running away from his constituents. Heller hasn’t held a public meeting with his constituents since this Congress began — more than 2 months ago — denying them the opportunity to share their views on Trump’s dangerous agenda.

For a second-by-second look at just how long it’s been since lazy Dean Heller had a public meeting with Nevadans, head to HellerOnTheRun.com.

Statement by American Bridge President Jessica Mackler:

“Dean Heller is running from Nevadans, hiding behind closed doors because he knows he can’t defend his reckless record or Trump’s agenda. Heller would have to own up to voting over 20 times to repeal the Affordable are Act and strip insurance from up to 400,000 Nevadans, and admit he refuses to support an independent investigation into Trump’s dangerous ties to Russia. That’s why […]

Bridge Project Launches Second Wave of Ads Against Heller and Flake

Today, American Bridge 21st Century unveiled new digital ads targeting Senators Dean Heller and Jeff Flake for failing to back an independent investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia.

The ads will run on YouTube and other video platforms as pre-roll, short digital advertisements that play before a video. The campaign will last two weeks in Nevada and Arizona and urge voters to contact their Senators and sign a petition urging Heller and Flake to support an independent investigation to find out just how entangled Trump is with Russia.

Statement from American Bridge President Jessica Mackler:

“As if Donald Trump’s close ties with Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin weren’t troubling enough, it’s now clear that his administration attempted to cover up communications between Trump’s associates and the Russians. While Dean Heller and Jeff Flake ignore the questions surrounding Trump’s ties to Russia, Donald Trump, himself, continues to put America’s national security […]

Bridge Project Ads Target Heller and Flake on Trump’s Ties to Russia

Today, American Bridge 21st Century launched a digital ad campaign against Senators Dean Heller and Jeff Flake, holding them accountable for failing to back an independent investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia.

The ads will run for two weeks in Nevada and Arizona. The ads direct voters to sign a petition urging their Senator to support an independent investigation to find out just how entangled Trump is with Russia.

Statement from American Bridge President Jessica Mackler:

“Donald Trump’s strange closeness with Vladimir Putin and his authoritarian regime is putting our national security at risk. As Trump refuses to speak out about Russia’s aggression, the questions keep piling up. With the stakes this high, Dean Heller and Jeff Flake need to support an independent investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia, and get the American people the answers they deserve.”
